Highlights from the WeBS count between Stonebridge and Pye's Hall this morning were 200 Pink-footed Geese, 776 Brent Geese, 3 Whooper Swans, 2 Pintail, the Ruddy Shelduck hybrid, one Greenshank, one Hen Harrier, 3 Rock Pipits, 2 adult White Wagtails, 5 Snow Buntings and one Lapland Bunting.

At the south end, the most notable birds trapped and ringed were 25 Goldcrests, one Willow Warbler, 5 Chiffchaffs and 4 Blackcaps.

Hi Steve,

Additionally 2 Firecrest, a Brambling and a Chiffchaff N of Stonebridge + 2 Swallows at the base.

Flushed what was very likely a LEO but was unable to relocate in dense buckthorn.
