5 Snow Bunting present + the 2 Stonechat still around, 6 Whoopers thru mid morning then another 7 a bit later.

Stonechats showing remarkably well in early afternoon sunshine today near cafe on foreshore nature reserve.

Bit worried to see council in action nearby on start of latest phase of habitat pulverisation (sorry, management).

Just when the lost copse near the leisure centre was starting to re-establish itself, they've started grubbing it up again to make it more user-friendly for dog-walkers and their pets. Shame - always used to be a good place for seeing passage migrants, including redstarts
