The Chaffinch/Goldfinch/Greenfinch/Brambling flock previously reported near the Dunston Fen Lane/Prior Lane junction were still there today with bramblings in particular posing nicely in bushes by the entrance to Wood Farm Lodge. It was difficult to get precise numbers, but with some certainty;

Chaffinch c20
Goldfinch c5
Greenfinch c5
Brambling c5

Also;
Kestrel 1
Mistle Thrush 1
Blue tit 2
Great tit 1
Wood pigeons c10
Black headed gull c6
Carrion crow c20

and of note at Wasps Nest/Nocton Fen;
Buzzard 1
Chaffinch c20
Robin 2
Pied wagtail 1
Mute swan c5
Bewick's swan c15

Unfortunately the small barn that housed the little owls and stock doves has now lost its roof and neither species was in evidence this morning.

Oops, I just realised that I wrote Bewick's swan, which should read Whooper. My apologies.
