The Finch flock on Dunston Fen Lane, as first reported by David Cohen, is still showing well. ("c. 100 birds - 60 Chaffinch, 20 Brambling and 20 Greenfinch"). I watched the flock from 11.30 this morning (Fri). It was very flighty, repeatedly settling in the upper branches of a lone tree on the far side of the weedy field about 200 yards past the Prior Lane/Dunston Fen Lane junction with occasional visits to roadside trees on Dunston Fen Lane. Always a pleasure to see wintering Brambling. Freddy |

Found small group of about 6 on left hand side in trees just past a farm on the left at about 15.15. Andrew |
