Knaith (south of Gainsborough) 17 Jan 10-10.45 Mixed finch/bunting flock in game cover crop, north of small car park near to River Trent. Mealy redpoll 1 male (found by Dean Nicholson the previous day). Lesser redpoll 40+ Reed bunting 10 Goldfinch 30 Brambling (seen by others) Willow tit 1 (in large hedge next to cover crop) Lapwing 550 Golden plover 80 Fieldfare 55 Also 70 pink-footed geese W @10.30. |
