The best birds between Stonebridge and Pye's Hall were a Black Brant first located by Chris Atkin, 2 Peregrines, one Red Kite (still quite scarce on the coast), one Short-eared Owl, 24 Common Snipe, 2 Jack Snipe, one Woodcock, one Ruff , 2 Stonechats and 90 Twite. Other decent totals included 900 Brent Geese, 320 Shelducks, 930 Dunlin, 700 Knot, 850 Oystercatchers, 101 Grey Plovers, 115 Curlews, 420 Redshanks, 24 Rock Pipits and 180 Skylarks.
