A rather distinctive Raven was around the quarries at Barton this morning: it appeared from the south landed in the west quarry then flew off out over the Humber before turning back over Chowder and then west over Bluecoat farm: it should be easily tracked if anyone picks it up as it had no tail at all making it a somewhat odd bird in profile. This is now the 4th record of Raven at Barton in the last 3 years clearly reflecting the ongoing increase and spread of this once mythical species in Lincs.
