Even with a cold, brisk southerly wind blowing, this regular walk along the 'Woodhall Spa Trail' west of Horncastle gives steady numbers of birds. Not so many species this afternoon but highlights were :- Lesser Redpoll 3 Greenfinch 1 Fieldfares 40+ Lapwing 107 On pasture field the other side of the canal. Kestrel 1 Flew low and fast between the trees across the path in front of us. Buzzard 1 Low over small wood nearby. Cheers Rob |
