The very quiet period continued, but the weather was gloriously spring-like. Two Marsh Harriers came in from the shore and thermalled very high before drifting SW inland. The best of the rest at the south end included a Peregrine, 3 Common Buzzards, a Water Rail and a Water Pipit. A few Starlings, Golden Plovers and Lapwings were heading NW and quite a few birds, including many Skylarks were singing. Last weekend, it was interesting to note that there were 550 Skylarks between the realignment area, Pye's Hall and Quad 3.
