Highlights included.

1 Little Stint
3 Spotted Redshank
1 Scaup
2 Peregrine
1 Hen Harrier
3+ Marsh Harrier
1 Barn Owl
22 Whooper Swan

Still loads of Wigeon about, as well as Brent obviously. Teal numbers seem to be dropping off a bit, but easily still 2000+ Golden Plover on the reserve. A good scan through them revealed that a couple of them were already in near full breeding plumage. Seemed to be a few more Black-tailed Godwit about today and everybody that I bumped into were really admiring the Pintails.

The Skylarks were shooting up and singing like crazy this morning as well, which was a real joy to see and hear.

Thanks to Daniel for putting me on to one of the Marsh Harriers! :)

Also saw 2 of the Spotted Redshank, the Scaup and some of the Whooper Swans.

In addition, a Merlin was seen over the Reedbed, and a Grey Heron on the Reedbed scrape.

A few Black-headed Gulls were already in their chocolate-brown breeding hoods.

Plenty of Tree Sparrow, Goldfinch and Greenfinch on the feeders.

My Year List is now at 66 species.
