A seawatch at the south end was made 0945-1100 following the high tide at 0820. To the north were 22 Red-throated Divers, 11 Cormorants, one Great Crested Grebe, 2 Gannets, one Kittiwake and 5 auks sp. Heading south were 11 more distant Red-throated Divers, 6 Cormorants, 2 Shags, one Fulmar, 3 Razorbills and 4 auks sp. At least 8 Great Crested Grebes were seen on the sea and relevant birds on the shore were 8 more Cormorants, 113 Curlews, 500 Dunlin, 60 Sanderling, 400 Knot and 70 Grey Plovers. Birds of note on the dunes were 2 Mistle Thrushes and singles of Water Pipit, Peregrine and Common Buzzard.
