Perhaps a little behind several sites in the county but still nice to get my first migrants of the year on the patch this morning before the month end;
2 Sand Martins and 3 singing Chiffchaffs
Buzzards were also very much in evidence with up to 6 on the thermals showing well against some clear blue skies. This to a backdrop of displaying Lapwing and singing Skylark and Yellowhammer was most welcome.
As an aside, up to 7 Siskin and a single Redpoll are still visiting the garden feeders - Siskin has been a daily visitor since 14th Feb
