A good number of various passerines in the wood - Robin, Wren, Blackbird, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Chaffinch & Goldfinch. All in good song.

A Buzzard was flying over the fields to the north of the woods when the parents and I arrived. A Kestrel was perched on a post supporting overhead cabling. Most unexpected of all was seeing at least 6 Lapwings flying around the fields, again to the north of the woods!

I gained another Year Tick too - seeing and hearing my first Chiffchaff of the year!
