Afternoon visit starting at Willow Tree Fen

Migrants around the reserve included;

Sedge Warbler - 1
Willow Warbler - 1
Chiffchaff - 2
Swallow - 7
Yellow Wagtail - 7

Other birds of note included;

Ruff - 2
Redshank - pair mating
Snipe - 1
Lapwing - 8
Little Egret - 5
Cetti's Warbler - 1
Reed Bunting - 8
Shoveler - 5 pairs
Teal - 5 pairs
Wigeon - 5

A winter cereal field to the south of Baston Fen held;
Mute Swan - 62
Greylag - 7

A very brief visit to view the roadside pits at Baston and Langtoft produced little of note other than;

Sand Martin - c.30
Lesser black-backed Gull - 2
Shoveler - 4
Oystercatcher - 2 pairs

I had a couple of signing Corn Bunting along the roadside south of the pits near Langtoft today.
