Text me pal and asked if he wanted a few hours out, not taken him since last June, only condition was we go near water.

Over his house in Ashby were 4 Buzzard so a great start.

Going along the A18 near the truck stop café he spotted a Tawny Owl in a tree.

Then went to Cadney PS:

Chiffchaff - 3 heard

Kettleby: Buzzard - 1

Brambling - 7

Peregrine - 1
MH - 4
Skylark - 4 singing
Greylag - 1
Pheasant - 1pr
Oyk - 2 on flooded area near rail x-ing
Great/Blue Tits in conifers
Water Rail - 1 heard
Chaffinch - 6
Mallard - 2 pr
Greenfinch - 2
Crow - 4
Although I haven't been since June most of crops have now been cut and it now looks bird friendly, again!

We both considered the day to be excellent especially for raptors Set off at 13:30 and returned at 18:30

Only my third trip out this year excluding the Leeds trips.
