As some will know, I had what I thought was a Glaucous Gull on the old pontoon site at Grimsby Docks yesterday. Wasn't sure at first if ID was correct as bird was on it's own so no size comparison available, though it looked brutish so didn't really think it could have been an Iceland.
Had another look at lunchtime and found it splashing away in No. 2 Fish Dock though Tony Shearsmith saw it mid-afternoon back on the old pontoon base.
I am attempting to put a poor quality record shot on the album. Security stopped me taking photos before I could get a decent one.
Quite chuffed as only my second one and a self-find.
