Post subject:  North Hykeham Pits bits

Hundreds of hirundines feeding at Apex Pit during the rain this afternoon, minimum; 40 House Martin, 60 Swallow and 100 Sand Martin. A Common Sandpiper flew in and was on the boat launch briefly, two smart male and three female Brambling were in the hedgerow on the east bank.

Also two Nightingale singing sublimely, south bank of Butterley’s Pit.

Hi, Common Sandpiper was still present after we spoke to you Ben. Also 2 Oyster Catchers sleeping on the jetty.
