There were a few more migrants about at the south end today following the largely featureless observations of yesterday. Moving north were 120 Linnets, 36 Swallows, 29 Sand Martins and 2 Yellow Wagtails. In the bushes were 7 Chiffchaffs, one Willow Warbler, one Blackcap, 3 Lesser Whitethroats, one Reed Warbler and one Goldcrest. Also of note were 3 Common Buzzards and singles of Merlin, Barn Owl, White Wagtail and Greenshank. |
