Update on wagtail passage along Trent Valley at Trent Port, Marton 19.04.16 In afternoon I had at least 24 yellow wagtails, 5 white wagtails and 40+ pied wagtails on sandy fields at southern end of floodbank footpath. Earlier in day Dean Nicholson had 4 yellow wags and at least 6 white wagtails plus 4 male wheatears and a flyover whimbrel. 20.04.16 Dean Nicholson noted at least 19 white wagtails and 10 yellow wagtails plus 4 wheatears. Obviously a lot of turnover going on but calling wagtails seem to attract others passing by. Cheers Brian |
