Warblers singing at the south end were 9 Common Whitethroats, 4 Lesser Whitethroats, 3 Blackcaps, 2 Grasshopper Warblers, one Reed Warbler, 2 Sedge Warblers, one Willow Warbler and 2 Chiffchaffs. The only other migrants seen were 16 Swallows, one Yellow Wagtail, 2 Wheatears and a Song Thrush. Two singing Corn Buntings and a Great Spotted Woodpecker were noted, while a solitary male House Sparrow was the first record for the year.
