An unexpected find on my regular walk around Dunston/Nocton Wood/Wasps Nest this morning was a cracking male Ring Ouzel in the paddock by Wood End Farm on Dunston Fen Lane. Other migrants included 7 Chiffchaff, 9 Sand Martin, 1 House Martin, 3 Swallow, 3 Whitethroat, 1 Blackcap and 1 Willow Warbler. Given the strong northerly wind and the occasional hail shower, I was quite happy with 39 species logged to BirdTrack. Cheers David Cohen |
