Highlights of last 3 days on a cold & windy patch: 25th drake Goosander on mere 3 singing Lesser Whitethroats 26th Common Sandpiper at mere Tawny Owl roosting in ivy covered tree, pointed out to me by mobbing Blackbirds 27th female Wheatear on freshly tilled field 28 Fieldfares still on wheat field, 4th day, held up by these NW to N winds |
