Post subject:  South Forty Foot Drain 28/4

A brief works visit to a stretch of the South Forty Foot Drain in the area of Mallard Hurn to the west of Donington provided a few nice surprises, most welcome of which was a Turtle Dove in the bank side scrub. A Whitethroat was also noted displaying rather vigorously and a pair of Buzzard were also in attendance. Along the drain was a single Kingfisher and a pair of Great crested Grebe.
