3 cuckoos squabbling in a bush not far beyond the car park this evening (7 o'clockish). Also at least 4 whimbrel and 1 hunting short-eared owl. Not a bad end to a day when we had a chiffchaff and a pair of coal tits bathing in our garden cascade!

Also seen/heard today in Tetney Lock area:

6-7 singing reed warblers
2-3 sedge warblers
several whitethroats
1 lesser whitethroat
1 willow warbler
1 yellow wagtail
+ the usual tree sparrows

At least 40 Brent geese still on Humberston Fitties shore.

Nice that we have got some Cuckoos in the north of the county Ray, I have not seen or heard one yet.
