Post subject:  Whisby Nature Park - 06/05/16

With three weeks' worth of germs and viruses now almost gone, the parents took me to Whisby for the afternoon. Seen/heard:

Nightingale - 4 birds heard
Garden Warbler - prob. 6 or 7 birds
Willow Warbler - various places
Chiffchaff - singing all round the reserve
Blackcap - singing all round the reserve.
Willow Tit - one seen around the lake that you have a view of when you're eating at the Cafe.
Mediterranean Gull - 2
Tree Sparrow - 2 near feeders

Also seen - Mallard, Gadwall, Tufted Duck, Great Crested Grebe, Cormorant, Coot, Woodpigeon, Black-headed Gull, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Long-tailed Tit, Robin, Chaffinch, Wren, Dunnock, Blackbird, Buzzard, Lesser Black-backed Gull and plenty of hirundines in the villages around the reserve.
