Location: Swanpool, Lincoln
At about 09:15 a superb summer plumage Black Tern flew in to the mere and started feeding, it fed constantly and was only seen to land, for short periods, 3 times. The bird was still present when I left at 14:45. This is the first Black Tern I have seen on the patch for 13 years. Well chuffed.

Black Tern still present at 19:45 with 6 Common Terns.
Also Common Sandpiper on flooded cow field all day.
