Also at Linwood Warren on the 16th were:-

a male Redstart singing around the SE corner of the reserve,
a Nuthatch attending a nest hole,
a second pair of Spotted Flycatchers at the west end.

I'm pretty certain that this is the first confirmed breeding record for Nuthatch on the Reserve, Richard.

I'll check out the site again the next time I visit, making sure not to disturb too much. Although the hole and the repeated visits looked favourable, it was a fairly short visit and I would say the breeding record is PROBABLE only at this stage.

I did take some photos, which I'll post up on the forum when I get chance.

Richard.
