With regard to Steve's tweet about the Hobby around his garden today. For the last week I have had Hobby around and through my garden every day, sometimes two or three times, after the Swallows. No problem knowing when one is around thanks to Swallow alarm calls!
I assume that they have hungry young at the moment!
Spotted Flcatcher still in the garden every day.
Also Green Woodpecker feeding on ants amongst the raised beds and two singing Goldcrests.
