Interesting visit to my local patch this morning....

Wheatear - 1 juv. This was my earliest record on return migration at my local patch, by a month! And reading the latest Lincolnshire Bird Report (2013), there appear to be no sightings in the county in the month of July!

Also saw, oddly, my first ever Willow Warbler on the patch as well as a patch year tick in the form of a Collared Dove!

Mallard numbers increased significantly, to 23, and Tufted Duck increased to 12.

Also of interest; Little Egret - 1 and Common Sandpiper - 1

The LBB Gulls and BH Gulls were the first Gulls seen since mid May!

Sorry - forgot to mention, as requested, that all records have been submitted to Bird Track. ALL my Toft Newton Reservoir sightings are always inputted onto Bird Track.

Interesting Gary.

I was surprised to find a juvenile Wheatear at Frieston on the 13th July, as well. Managed to get a bit of footage too...
