The WeBS count for the realignment area gave wader totals of 11 Oystercatchers, 6 Avocets, 14 Knot, 129 Dunlin, 6 Lapwings, one Spotted Redshank, 111 Common Redshanks, 12 Greenshanks, 15 Curlews, 9 Whimbrel, one Ruff, 160 Golden Plovers, 2 Common Sandpipers and 4 Green Sandpipers. Other birds of note included 5 Shoveler, 4 Little Gulls, one Hobby, 6 Kestrels, 2 Common Buzzards, 28 Little Egrets, one Grey Wagtail and one Garden Warbler. |
