The pair of Spotted Flycatchers that were resident in and around my garden this year departed on July 27th. Some movement of the species no doubt taking place now.

Spotted Flycatcher feeding young in nest at Hill Holt Wood Reserve this morning.

With thanks to staff members Oliver and Ben who showed me two further Spotted Flycatcher 2016 breeding sites nearby.

No sign of Spotted Flycatcher activity on a visit to the traditional site in Aubourn.
