An Osprey was fishing over the sea at Pye's Hall this evening and 130 Common Scoters flew north. 290 Common Terns arrived to roost on the mudflats along with 12 Sandwich Terns, 2,500 Black-headed Gulls and 4 Mediterranean Gulls. Waders included 81 Curlews, 18 Whimbrel, 460 Oystercatchers, 25 Black-tailed Godwits, 4 Greenshanks, one Common Sandpiper and one Green Sandpiper. Also of note were 6 Kestrels, 2 Common Buzzards, 2 Marsh Harriers, one Peregrine and one Spotted Flycatcher. |
