We tried to take a look at Manby this afternoon but the entrance road was closed. Anyone know how long for? Roy |

Roy I went down there on Monday evening and saw the road closed signs, I started to walk down but a car stopped and said it's not actually closed, it's just a house having gas installed. I went down again this evening and nothing seems to have changed, of course this doesn't mean it's open in day time. Water levels are low but birds seen tonight included 1 Wigeon, 2 Water Rail, 6 Ruff, 15 Snipe, 5 Blackwit and a Kingfisher. |

The 'road closed' signs have now been taken down. The 2nd flash is completely dry and devoid of birds but the 1st flash had 3 Wigeon, possibly 1 LRP, 2 Ruff, 2 Snipe, 5 Blackwit and a Kingfisher. |

The place was the quietest I've ever seen it this afternoon, no mud was showing so no waders however I managed a patch tick with a pair of Stonechat in front of the hide. The only other birds noted were 11 Teal, 1 Shoveler and a Water Rail calling. |

A 1st winter Iceland Gull was a patch tick and the pair of Stonechat were still here. |
