At 1835 today, a flock of 21 (or thereabouts) Greenshanks flew noisily SW over my house at Garthorpe. This is quite a large count for the upper Humber, though I know occasional very large flocks can be seen almost anywhere.

21 Greenshank in one "flock" (if that's the correct collective noun for Greenshank?) must be a good sighting.
A site I visit near Gedney Drove End in the south of the county holds good numbers of Greenshank at this time of the year. This morning there were 56 birds present but my highest count this year is 78 on 22 nd August
