The Long-billed Dowitcher has returned to the reserve this evening. A small cohort of birders have already seen it. It's on South Scrape, visible from the mound with the chair on top and also from the road down to the Sea Bank Car Park.

Gorgeous Year Tick and a Reserve First. First time I saw one was the Freiston bird a few years ago.

It seems that the Long-billed Dowitcher has been on the reservoir at Freiston for the last two mornings.
Steve Lister reports that it was there today until about 10.30 today before flying off with the Black-tailed Godwits when the tide went out. Another person reported that it was also there yesterday.
An early morning Freiston visit tomorrow might be productive.
