A Radde's Warbler was trapped and ringed at the south end this morning. Upon release it flew strongly over a patch of buckthorn, dived into the vegetation and disappeared for good. Other south end highlights included 2 Yellow-browed Warblers, 4 Chiffchaffs, 6 Blackcaps, 90 Goldcrests, 460 Redwings, 75 Fieldfares, 100 Song Thrushes, 120 Blackbirds, one Ring Ouzel, 90 Robins, 20 Bramblings, 12 Mealy Redpolls, 3 Grey Wagtails, 2 Shore Larks, one Merlin, one Woodcock, one Jack Snipe and 42 White-fronted Geese.
Two Taiga Bean Geese were on a stubble field by Marsh Lane in the evening.
