On Saturday 10th September 2016 I recorded a Nightjar at Baston. Here it gets bizarre because this bird, believed to be a male, spent the whole day in my front garden perched on the bed of a trailer!!!! (I have the pics to prove it) It was pouring rain all day. At late dusk (2040 or thereabouts) it preened and cleaned its feathers. At 2055 it rose into the air, circled once and flew in a S/SE direction.
