Very quiet at the south end this morning, however Starlings had increased to 4,300. Thrush numbers were low, but included a Ring Ouzel, otherwise just 2-3 Goldcrests, Chiffchaff, Blackcap, Water Rail and Peregrine. A Red-throated Diver flew south at sea and 2 Red-breasted Mergansers flew north. Three Mealy Redpolls were bathing with Linnets in farm-track puddles and a Lapland Bunting headed north.
