Highlights today 11:00 to 15:00:

Long-billed Dowitcher, Peregrine. Marsh Harrier, Hen Harrier, Kestrel, Sparrowhawk, Buzzard, 6 Whooper Swan, flocks of 7 & 9 Bearded Tits, Water Rail plus 1,000 plus Golden Plover, 300 plus Lapwing and 1,000 plus Brent Geese.

Particularly enjoyed watching a Peregrine dive-bombing a Buzzard, which had settled on a duck, which the Peregrine had killed earlier!

42 species in total, all logged on to BirdTrack.

Regards,

David Cohen

Hi David. Think it was you I was with when the peg and buzzard were having a disagreement. I'm pretty sure that call from the reeds we heard was Cetti's as I had one 8n the parking bay later making the same noise. Brambling and Black-necked Grebe were also on site and the Glossy Ibis was also seen by quite a few people too.

Hi Toby,

I think you are right re the call - Cetti's Warbler would fit the bill.

Regards,

David
