Post subject:  Far Ings area / South Bank of the Humber

Saturday 29th October

Far Ings Nature Reserve various locations around the complex .

30 + Redwing , 1 Song Thrush , 7 Goldfinch , 3 Bullfinch , 11 Reed Bunting , 2 meadow pipit ,11 Long tailed Tit, 1 Yellowhammer .

On or around Pits - 7 Bearded Tits , 1 Kingfisher , 1 water Rail , varying numbers of Mallard , Tufted Duck , Gadwall , Teal , 1 male Pintail , 1 Little Grebe , 1 GC grebe 3 Little Egrets , + mute swans , Greylag and odd cormorants .

On Estuary - Good numbers of Curlew 40+ , 70 + Dunlin , and at South Ferriby viewing from the Hope and Anchor pub carpark 100 + Avocet and Pink footed geese ( 200 approx) overhead and then on an exposed lowtide bank in the channel .

Apologies for the delayed post but this is my first access to the computer since yesterday .

There had also been a small group of Waxwings seen at Far ings early in the morning but not by myself .
