A seawatch in abysmal conditions was abandoned after just less than an hour when the wind veered slightly and brought the rain in more directly. Moving north were 40 Common Scoters, 2 Shelducks, one auk sp., 2 Red-throated Divers and 8 Kittiwakes, while to the south were 30 Common Scoters, 14 Shelducks, 22 Gannets, 6 Red-throated Divers, 2 Pomarine Skuas and one Great Skua. Other birds seen included 2 Shore Larks, 6 Twite, one Water Pipit and 34 Whooper Swans.
