After GPC et al. had been watching the Pallid Harrier over Grainthorpe Marsh, Graham alerted me to it approaching me near Pye's Hall. Affording superb views, it eventually passed me at 1030, and flew low along the outmarsh towards Stonebridge. I lost sight of it until 1055, when it reappeared over the realignment area near Porter's Sluice on the south side. It went over the new bank and I did not see it again, but I later heard that it had returned to the Grainthorpe marsh area by ca.1130.
Other raptors seen between Stonebridge and Pye's Hall were 3 Peregrines, one Merlin, 3 Kestrels, one Hen Harrier and 2 Sparrowhawks. Also of note on top of the 9 Waxwings were 25 Twite, one Stonechat, one pale-bellied Brent Goose, 90 Pink-footed Geese and one Greenshank.
