About time I got back to the UK and did a bit of bird surveying... Today, around this circuit at 15:00 to 15:30: 10 House Sparrow 2 Wren 2 Robin (heard) 1 Blackbird (heard) 5 Woodpigeon 150 Starling in flocks of circa 20 to 80 1 Great Tit 3 Blue Tit 4 Black-headed Gulls And that's about it... Very quiet: nothing on the pond... We did see what we thought was some waders of some kind, but they were flying South-south-east and too far away to be identified. There were about 20 flying in a V-formation..... They looked a bit like Canada Geese with less of a bulging breast... Any ideas/guesses?.... |
