2 Water Rail
3 Short-eared Owl
1 brief and distant skua looked like a probable Bonxie
1 Kingfisher
2 Grey Wagtail
2 Stonechat
45 Twite
1 Lapland Bunting
1 Snow Bunting

Also at Tetney Lock:
A total of 161 Cormorant over at first light from their Humber roosting area and heading towards Covenham
1 Short-eared Owl
1 Kingfisher

no chance geoff tried for years to get something done, but it is all about the access road the land is owned by the oil company and the cost would be horrendous.

Hi Geoff,

As Terry points out, access is a problem, hence why the RSPB presumably continue to class it as a holding reserve with hardly any finances/management put into it. The access problem is presumably also why the RSPB don't promote the reserve, instead directing people to the more visitor-friendly Frampton site.

It could be a right headache for them if I somehow managed to dig out a Mega - I don't think they need to hold their breath though.
