A good wander around this morning by a few of our bird group allowed us to record 57 species.
many winter treats but my personal favourite was the stonechat around the south side of New Pit 3, I have a soft spot for this species. It was feeding well and often perched on thistle or rush tops so allowed my to get wonderful scope views at x60.
I have heard that at least 40 waxwing that have been at Sainsburys were seen flying over to this side of the River. Eyes on the ready.
Happy New Year to All members and to those that look in on LBC.
