Didn't manage full reserve coverage in the time available as spent an extended period around Grebe Lake hoping for a sighting of the Bittern (or two) but it wasn't to be. Still a productive visit though with the following noted
Grebe Lake
Cetti's Warbler - heard once at the western end and a further five times from the central area on the north side over a period of about hour and a half. Water Rail - 1 right in front of hide 3 Goldeneye - 4 (1male) Tufted Duck - 50 Mallard - 10 Gadwall - 12 Shoveler - 14 Wigeon - 22 Teal - 30 Coot - 12 Mute Swan - 7 Egyptian Goose - 2 Greylag - 4 Cormorant - 2 Long-tailed Tit - 9
Teal Lake
Goldeneye - 3 (1 male) Pochard - 16 Tufted Duck - 20 Mallard - 4 Wigeon - 4 Shoveler - 12 Gadwall - 24 Teal - 98 Mute Swan - 1 Coot - 19 Moorhen - 5 Cormorant - 12 Grey Heron - 1 Black-headed Gull - c.160 Common Gull - 8 Great black-backed Gull - 6 Herring Gull - 2 Lapwing - 1 Long-tailed Tit - 4 Bullfinch - 3 (1 male)
Orchid Glade
Water Rail - 1 very vocal individual but would not give itself up to be seen Teal - 2 Bullfinch - 3 (2 male) Siskin - 10 Goldcrests - 2 Long-tailed Tit - 3
Willow Walk
Bullfinch - 4 (2 male) Long-tailed tit - 2 Blue tit - 3 Great tit - 2
