At Toft Newton Reservoir this morning....
White-fronted Goose - 1 associating with a Greylag Goose, both flew off whilst I was there and intriguingly an unaccompanied Greylag flew in an hour later! The coincidence is that the only other White-fronted I've ever seen on my local patch was on exactly the same date in 1996!
Also present were;
Scaup - 1 male Shoveler - 2 Goldeneye - 19 Gadwall - 40 Great Crested Grebe - 8 Pochard - c40 (most of which flew off when fishermen in a boat got too close) Tree Sparrow - 2 Great spotted Woodpecker - 1
All Birdtracked!
