RSPB Frampton A quick 2 hour visit (my first of the year)

I tested out the new bird friendly coffee machine in the VC and brought a 2nd hand hard backed copy of Nature's Conscience: The Life and Legacy of Derek Ratcliffe for a £1 (wow)!

Whooper Swan 72 in arable fields before the reserve (scoped from car)
White-fronted Geese (c15-20?) very distant birds in same area as Whooper's but difficult to count..

Meriln (female hunting in fields east of the old car park)
Cetti's Warbler (halfway between visitors centre and old carpark (showing in the open on the roadside fence)

plus 1,000's of Golden Plover, Wigeon and lapwings and 100's of Teal, brents, skylarks, dunlin and 10's of pintail, tufted, pochard etc....
