Highlights seen during the WeBS count for the realignment area included a Pochard (becoming very infrequent here), a Shoveler, 1,100 Brent Geese, 950 Golden Plovers, 580 Lapwings, 80 Twite, 20 Fieldfares, 2 Stonechats, one Merlin and one Hen Harrier. |

Pochard now seem to be irregular on the lake in Cleethorpes country park compared with the winters of yesteryear. By contrast, there are often up to a dozen on Cleethorpes boating lake. Tufties are less choosy - they are happy at both sites. |
