There was no sign of either the Shore Larks or the Lapland Buntings on their regular section of beach at Quad 3 this morning. As well as the recent shift of the tide-wrack, the beach was subject to some disturbance by walkers and horses. Birds of note included 18 Twite, 2 Stonechats, 6 Whooper Swans and 2 Short-eared Owls. A dead Razorbill was on the strand-line.

With Jeremy Fraser.
